ABOUT
Creating images and crafting stories about humanity is a powerful privilege. I’m grateful to be engaged in a profession I love – one that never stops expanding my mind. My experiences are diverse because I have an insatiable curiosity about the world we live in (and whatever else is out there). I’ll call it AWE.
My undergraduate degrees are in Film and Drama from the University of Texas at Austin. For seven years I worked at Austin’s public television station and grew as a producer, director and editor. Working in every facet of production has shaped me considerably as a storyteller. A natural progression toward the camera lured me away from Texas to The American Film Institute where I earned a master’s degree in cinematography.
As a director of photography, I moved fluidly between genres including the Emmy Award-winning PBS documentary series, “American Masters” and 2nd Unit on the Academy Award-winning feature, “Sideways”. As reality television came to fore, I had the good fortune to work on many shows that made names for themselves, from “Joe Millionaire” to “The Osbournes” to “Laguna Beach.”
My grasp of production soon had me directing reality. My need for the big “storytelling” picture and a desire to get back in the edit suite led me to executive producing.
I have a working-class work ethic and eye for excellence. I care about crew and talent welfare. I take myself seriously, but with a sense of humor. I want to work with creative, smart, funny, engaged and talented people who make television that matters.
I’ve traveled around the world and seen amazing beauty. Translating this beauty to others is not a job – it’s a passion.
It doesn’t have to be hard to be good!

SUNDAY TIMES UK
QUEER EYE HAD ME DEEP IN ITS BEAUTIFULLY MANICURED CLUTCHES. IT'S FUNNY AND ABSORBING BUT CRUTIALLY DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINAL SERIES.
ELLE
Watching Bravo's summertime hit, Sweet Home Oklahoma, was such an unexpected (and welcome) change. The concept is not so removed (grown-up women with nice handbags, pretty houses, and to-camera confessionals) but, oh how it's different.
BUZZ FEED
QUEER EYE IS THE MOST EMPOWERING AND POSITIVE SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW.
THE DAILY BEAST
– SUMMER'S MOST SURPRISING SHOW –
Sundance Channel’s new documentary series, Push Girls, about five gorgeous women in wheelchairs, will show life after paralysis as it’s never been portrayed before on television.
HUFFINGTON POST
Authenticity is not necessarily synonymous with “Real” Housewives, but Bravo surprised us this year with a series that was refreshingly down-home country, Sweet Home Oklahoma.
